So sorry for your loss. Sorry I didn't get to know your mom before she went into the nursing home. She must have been a really sweet lady because you children were always so kind and gentle with her. I loved watching the love and care you gave her in her final days on this earth. May God bless you and give you peace as you grieve the death of your mom.

We lived next door to the Roberts family on Cedar about 15 years. I have nothing but good memories of listening to our Mama's talk at the fence, borrowing sugar, helping each other out with babysitting, or whatever we needed. I came home and told my Mama to go ask Mrs. Roberts how to make shepards pie like at school. When she saw me in my first allstar softball uniform she went in the house , got a camera , and took my picture. So sorry for your loss, nothing can replace a Mama! But i know shes herself again laughing like she did when the pony bucked Donald off in her cauldron planter and when Carolyn fell off the clothesline. She was a special lady.

I have no true wise words to comfort you all..There are none, nothing compared to the loss of your mother..I have so much respect and awe of your mom, she was a steadfast, devote, constant strong figure in our family..She had her hand in raising & teaching us all..A true woman of the times, a legend in her own right, she set blaze for us to follow, back when women didn't have the same rights, or respect as men. She taught you all to be strong and work hard for what you wanted, knowing one day you would have to be strong to carry on your family legacy without her.. Sending my deepest sympathy & condolences along with many prayers & hugs...
