Deepest condolences to the family. May God's promise at John 5:28,29 of a future resurrection bring you comfort. Until that time comes, he assures us at Psalm 34:18 that he "is close to the brokenhearted" and "saves those who are crushed in spirit." So he understands your pain and grief and is eager to help you by giving you the strength you need to cope during this most difficult time. (Philippians 4:13)

While I didn't have the honor of working with Ed, I am aware of the impact that he had on others here at the McLennan County CSCD (Adult Probation). Those remaining at the department that worked with Ed speak fondly of him as both a person and a leader. Ed played a major role in ensuring that the mission of the department endured. We are so sorry for your loss, and you are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
  5. Molly Renfroe

Edwin Frields, what a terrible loss to his family and many friends. I've known Ed since 1955 when we played in the Waco Southern Little League. Ed was easy going and a fun loving guy. I extend my deepest sympathy to his wife Beverly and the rest of his family. Ed Fred, I hope you have already got your fishing line in a Heavenly stream catching those big bass.
  10. Judge Brad Cates
Ed and I worked together for many years, mostly in opposition to each other. He was one of the most conscientious, kind and dedicated professionals I have known, and I am proud to call him a friend. My prayers go out to his family as they remember the life of this very special man.
  11. Johnny Graves
