Margaret Bates, went to Heaven to be with Jesus on Friday,
February 9, 2018.
Services will be 10:30 am Monday, February 12, 2018 at
Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Gerald McKelroy officiating. Burial
will be at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday,
February 11, 2018 at the funeral home.
Margaret Warren was born January 29, 1923 in Riesel, Texas. She
was a master seamstress and hairdresser in the Waco area. She also worked at
Cox's Department Store for many years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting,
gardening and spending time with family and friends.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Bates.
Survivors include her son, Edwin Bates; her granddaughter,
Kelly Lorenz and husband, Michael; her great-granddaughters, Lexi Lorenz and
Lily Lorenz; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Waco Meals on
Wheels, 501 W. Waco Dr., Waco, TX 76707.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Kindred Hospice for their care and support.

Eddy, TX Monday, February 12, 2018 Hi Kelly, I am sorry I didn't get to hug you today and tell you how sorry I am about your grandmother. Unfortunately, it was my day to site coordinate and drive for Meals on Wheels. By the time I finished, the service was over. I hope the last couple of years were not too hard for her. I'm afraid I quit visiting when she didn't recognize me. You were wonderful to her and know that you will miss her. Take Care, Penny
