Waco, TX Saturday, December 2, 2017 I visited Garland a week before he passed. He had been moved to a new room, at his request, and seemed happy. Of my visits, about once a month, he never had a complaint. He enjoyed showing me the many pictures he had in his pocket as well his 1957 high school annual. His only request was a large Sprite every time I visited. A true friend of many years.Robert Hawkins
