Naomi "Chris" Sutherland, age 84, passed away Tuesday, July
18, 2017. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017
at Waco Memorial Park with Pastor Mark Huffhines officiating. A visitation will
be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 21st at Bellmead Funeral
Home.
Chris was born October 9, 1932 in Fairfield, Texas, the
daughter of Archie R. and Hattie G. (Casey) Giles. She married Melvin
Sutherland July 14, 1951 and he preceded her in death on May 18, 2011. She was
a homemaker and a resident of McLennan County since 1948. Chris was a beloved
wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents and two
sisters, Catherine and Margaret.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the
nurses and staff at Providence Hospice Place.
