Ethel Mozelle Cunningham was received peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 5, 2017. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at Greater Waco Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 pm to 4 pm Sunday May 7th at Bellmead Funeral Home.

She was born in Birome, Tx in 1920 and married R.B. Cunningham in 1937. During her 96 years here on earth she worshipped her Lord daily and was a 1957 charter member of Bellmead Baptist Church now Greater Waco Baptist Church. She volunteered countless hours helping in the church office, calling new members, teaching Sunday school and she loved to sing in the church choir. She was blessed with a large family who she loved dearly and they loved her in return, affectionately calling her Ninny Mo. She was a great cook and well known for her pecan pies and she made the best green beans one could find not only cooking them but growing them in her garden. She will forever be remembered for her quilt making and she did that so well. Her beautiful quilts will be cherished by her family and wrap them in her love for years to come.

Preceding her in death is her husband R.B., son Vernon Cunningham, grandson Randy Cunningham, two sisters Shirley Dunn and Joyce Hawthorne, and two brothers Joe Latimer and Raymond Latimer.

She is survived by her son, Velton Cunningham and wife Darlene; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Cunningham; her grandchildren, Diana and Michael Crosby, Mark and Jerri Cunningham, Sarah and David Donaldson, Janeene Cunningham, and Bobby and Cindy Cunningham plus 19 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren with 4 on the way; her sisters, Jane Northup and Vernell Taylor and her brother, Lewis Latimer.

Pallbearers will be her great grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons and the Deacons of her church.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice and Ridgecrest Nursing Home staff for your tender care of our mother and grandmother these past few months. You were so sweet to her and she loved each one of you.

Memorials in lieu of flowers can be sent to Greater Waco Baptist Church in her memory.
