Lynda Harp Grochoske, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017. Lynda did not want a traditional memorial service. She requested that on a particular day and time loved ones would join in spirit wherever they are and celebrate her life however they choose. We have picked the date of April 16th at 7:00 pm. She was born and grew up in Waco,TX. Attended school in the Connally ISD & several quarters at TSTI. Most of her adult life was spent in Corpus Christi or the Dallas area. She returned to Waco in 1991, residing here until she passed. Through the years Lynda worked in food service with Chuckwagon Catering, Church's Fried Chicken and our family BBQ. She x-rayed pipes in the oil fields, was a bank courier and worked in the shipping department of McDowell Research. She worked 7 years in the deli of the HEB in Hewitt until her health declined. Lynda was preceded in death by her parents Jack D. Harp Sr and Frances Baxley Harp, nephew Daniel Goldsmith, brother-in-law Jerry Smith and dear friends Linda 'Lil Bit' Kahler and Ronna Stovall. She is survived by siblings Connye Harp Goldsmith and husband Don Sr, Jack (Don) Harp Jr and wife Donna and Kathye Harp Smith. Devoted nephews, nieces, their spouses and children. Todd Stovall, his wife Christine and their three children, Troy Stovall, his wife Kim and their three children. Also many beloved friends that are like family.
