Vernon Elbert Busch, 63, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017.
Services will be 1:00 pm Friday, February 17, 2017 at
Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Riesel Cemetery. Visitation
will be 5 to 7 pm Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the funeral home.
Vernon was born January 24, 1954 in Waco to Paul and Frances
(Cox) Busch. He graduated from Connally High School and worked at Bird Kultgen
Ford for 40 years. He married Freddie Hixson on Valentines Day in 1987. He was
an avid Race Car Driver and mechanic.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lydia
Faye Brisby; and niece, Julianne Busch.
Survivors include his wife, Freddie Busch; his daughter,
Teresa Busch and husband, Cole Closs; stepchildren, Rita Eakin and husband,
Sean, Bill Bates and Becky Phillips and husband, Dewayne; his siblings, Ronnie
Busch and wife, Teresa, Leslie Busch and Francene Jones and husband, Darrel;
grandson, Tyler Moore; step-grandchildren, Dustin, Shelby, Brittney and Lauren
Bates, John Eakin, Sarah Fitch, Keeley
O'Keefe, Abby Eakin, Garrett Eakin and Cody Phillips; 4 great-grandchildren;
and his beloved dog, Lady.
