Helene was such a dear person and I am so thankful that she was able to bring Kenneth, my father-in-law years of happiness before he left this world. My grandchildren loved playing dominoes with her. She will be missed, but I know her faith was strong, so she is with her beloved family and friends.

Thanks so much for translating the German letters. Those letters helped to answer so many questions for Rudy and for me. We loved hearing your stories about Germany and WW II. You helped us to connect the past with the present! You deserve now to finally rest in eternal peace.

My dear friend of many years. She taught me so much when we worked together at Alamo 42 years ago. You will be missed.

Aunt Helene was a very dear person, it is sad to lose someone that was such a wonderful person. She is at peace now because she is finally with Uncle Charlie, and Chuckie.

Sweet Helene I am so saddened to hear of your passing. I feel it is too soon though I know you lived a long and good life. I am thankful my last memory of you was of you healthy and smiling just a month ago. I wished I could have known you sooner, I know you would have had many stories to tell. Rest with the angels sweet lady.

May the Lord comfort Helene Murray’s family and loved ones during this time of grief. Please accept my sincere condolences. Möge sie in Frieden ruhen.

I have many fond memories of Mrs. Murray, and of the community of German women living in Waco during my childhood. My memories of Helene were of a very classy, intelligent and dignified lady. She was a good friend to my mother Heidi for decades. Her story, along with my mother’s and their other German friends, of being a refuge at the end of WWII is amazing. They endured so much hardship during a very difficult and dangerous time. Helene was the last of this this group of local German women. I am so thankful to have had the privilege to have been raised in their company.
