Arlie was my roommate for the past several years, always paid before or on time, kept everything spotless. He was a great guy and I truly miss him so!! We had a lot of talks about the Longhorns, Rangers and little about the Cowboys. He loved his softball, Longhorns and fishing. He had gotten a new motor for his bass buggy and had told me he was going to take it out for a test ride since he was going to take some time off and go on another one of his hunting/camping trips. I never guessed that would be the last time we would talk. They don't make honest guys like him very often, he was a true and honest friend. I still think about him often and still expect him to walk in and say hay and start his usual ritual of cooking and things before he went to bed. Miss you buddy!!

Arlie, thank you for leaving me with such great memories of you. From playing softball with you, watching you play in Plano, taking me to the Rough Riders game, coming with me to Lake Texoma with my family, and getting a steak dinner. Our time together was short but my memories with you will be with me forever. Your one of the good ones!!! RIP my friend!

I bet you have already looked behind all 540 doors and kicked Odin in the arse. I remember the day we were in the concrete bunker with no water listening for mortar fragments hitting the side of it. It is my favourite memory of you. Texans are some of the best folks in the world. And you were the best of that lot. Iíll see you in Valhalla mate.
